Personal Injury Victim Came Unglued After Cousin Pulls Prank
We've all watched those TV court shows where the cases, while allegedly real, seem so preposterous that the only thing more unlikely is the outlandish things the plaintiffs and defendants say in open court. However, lawsuit as sport was taken to new heights in a recent episode of a court-based television show in Britain called “Judge Rinder.â€
It seems Gregor Bowman, 19, came unglued after learning that his cousin, George Storrie, superglued a pizza box to his head after he fell asleep. The incident occurred during a Glasgow, Scotland house party where the men were drinking all night. When he woke up, Bowman was left with a bald spot after his girlfriend ripped the box off his head. The incident also apparently damaged his reputation and made him the butt of the joke after a video of the incident went viral online.
Judge Rinder's official verdict? He called the defendant a “moron†and pronounced him guilty of causing personal injury to his cousin. Storrie was ordered to pay $1,500.
That's a lot of money for a pizza — which Storrie claims to have finished before he pulled out the glue. Speaking on the Judge Rinder show, Storrie also warned his cousin to be aware saying “next time he falls asleep it will be a lot worse.â€
