Recently, statistics from the New Jersey Municipal Court were compiled to see which Shore towns had the most DWI arrests made per square mile. The time period for the arrests made ran from July 2016 to June 2017 and included arrests made by both state and local police.
According to the data, the town of Seaside Heights recorded 187.67 DWI arrests per square mile. This amounted to a total of 140 arrests during that time period.
The next Shore town with the most DWI arrests per square mile was Wildwood City with 100.43. This also amounted to 140 total arrests made.
The town with the third-highest arrest rate was Allenhurst with 84.81 DWI arrests per square mile. That rate amounted to 24 total arrests throughout the time period.
The list goes on to rank a total of 44 Shore towns, highlighting just how serious the state of New Jersey is when it comes to DWIs. With strict penalties for offenders, first time or repeat, a DWI conviction on your record can greatly impact your life.
